#Eureka - Painting Doors

Still in the airport so I figured I would try to add a post with some updated house pictures. I have never added pictures in this way so it will be a mini experiment of sorts.

We are in phase 1 of house renovations. I am not sure how many phases there are and exactly where phase 1 ends but it feels more organized and like we know what we are doing to talk about it in such terms.

Part of phase 1 was taking out and putting in all new ceiling fans. We were lucky enough that my father-in-law volunteered to do this. It took him a whole day but it was worth it. The new light fixtures really set a new modern tone for each room.

We also painted all of our closet doors and trim white to match the windows and baseboards we previously painted. We have found that painting the wood white has instantly freshened up our place. We also decided to paint all of the interior bedroom doors black. There were a lot of marks, scratches, and crayon drawings on the doors and after debating whether to just buy new ones we decided to give black a try first. We ended up really liking the look and are keeping them that way.

For phase 1, I do know that we are waiting on dining chairs to be delivered, putting in new bathroom tile in our main bath, putting up back splashes (which my dad is doing now), painted our countertops, and are working on curating where all of our art will go so much more to come on our progress!
