That's My Jam - My Top 5 Free Stock Photo Sites

I have been been on the hunt for free stock photos to use for a presentation I am making this week. I like to use my own photos as much as possible but lately I have been in a time crunch. Instead of just doing a google image search and coming up with odd clipart or dated, cheesy photos with white backgrounds, I wanted to have contemporary images that were complimentary to the style of my presentation.  I did some research and found some awesome websites that have the tone and quality that aligns with my style. It took some digging so I thought I would share my Top 5 with some samples of their work as it may be helpful to others. All of these websites are in blog format and many you can sign up to get new images when they are released.

1. Startup Stock Photos

This website was created by Sculpt a social media agency in Iowa City. This site has great free photos that reflect the startup work life.

2. Unsplash

This is my favorite. I love every photo on this site. They post 10 new photos every ten days and you can subscribe by email to get the photos emailed to you.

3. Gratisography

I really like this website because they have some quirky options mixed in.  I also am drawn to the style of the site. The loading icons even make me smile.

I also appreciate that in lieu of a traditional donate button, it is a coffee fund that you can donate to. Personally, that makes more apt to donate.

4. Little Visuals

On this website you can sign up through email to get 7 images every seven days. You can download each week as a zip file; each week appears to have a different theme.

5. Picography

This website has a variety of styles and allows for photographers to submit photos.
